XSLT is going to take some patience...
XSLT <xsl:variable> Element:
Once you have set a variable's value, you cannot change or modify that value!
So XSLT variables are not variable? Wack.

Indeed. Normally what you end up doing is creating some whacky recursive solution using xml:templates and <param>
